Accommodation Advice & Support Service

Helping people who are homeless to find accommodation and set up a home. Supporting people to live independently - applying for benefits, manage arrears, sorting utilities, dealing with landlord and tenant issues etc.

 

Finance and Debt Advice & Support Service

Supporting people to manage their money through budgeting and saving. Helping people to maximise their income and ensuring they are accessing all the benefits they are entitled to. Supporting people to manage and prioritise debts and deal with creditors. Supporting people to access the Citizens Advice Bureau and Cumbria Law Centre for assistance in the most complex cases.


THESE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO PEOPLE IN CARLISLE, EDEN AND WEST CUMBRIA WHO ARE IN CONTACT WITH CUMBRIA & LANCS COMMUNITY REHABILITATION COMPANY (CLCRC) OR THE NATIONAL PROBATION SERVICE (NPS).

 

The Connect Project

In partnership with Carlisle & Eden Mind, Citizens Advice Carlisle & Eden, and Cumbria Law Centre this new project provides hardship crisis advice and support to people with mental health problems.

Referrals are made through Carlisle Eden Mind.

THE PROJECT IS FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE CARLISLE AND EDEN AREA AND IS FUNDED FOR 5 YEARS (UNTIL 2021) BY THE BIG LOTTERY'S HELP THROUGH CRISIS FUND.

How do I refer to this organisation?

Referrals for the Accommodation, Finance & Debt Advice Services are only accepted directly from Offender Managers at the Cumbria and Lancashire Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) or at the National Probation Service.

 

Referrals for the Connect project are made directly through MIND.
