Christians Against Poverty
Christians Against Poverty works through local centres throughout the UK offering advice, help and counselling to those who find themselves in severe personal debt. Cumbria’s debt centres are in Penrith, Kendal, Carlisle and Whitehaven.
The Carlisle centre offers a Job Club which gives practical support and helps equip people with practical tools they need to find work. We also have a Release Group which offers help to people struggling with addictions/dependencies.

Christians Against Poverty is an award winning, national debt counselling charity offering free help and advice through a network of debt centres based in the local church. We currently have centres in Penrith, Kendal, Carlisle and Whitehaven too. CAP offers hope and a solution to people in debt through its top quality, in depth service, as well as financial education through the CAP money course.
