Attending an open session

In order to assist your adviser during your interview we would ask that you bring as much information relating to your enquiry as you can. For example if you require assistance with your debts please bring details of all your creditors, proof of your income (i.e. wage slips or benefit entitlement) and bank statements. If you are unsure which documents you need to bring with you please telephone the office before attending an open session where we will be happy to assist you.

The bureau has a Macmillan Welfare Benefits Adviser who provides advice to people affected by cancer. We can assist you in identifying any entitlement to benefits, help with the completion of benefit applications and can provide assistance on other issues. Our adviser covers the whole of Copeland and referrals to the service can be made via GPs, Macmillan nurses, healthcare professionals or self referral. Please contact the bureau for further information.
